[Toolkit] Wug's Nexus Root Toolkit v1.6.8 for Nexus 4

Unlocking, rooting, relocking and
unrooting simplified! (and much
more!)

VERSION 1.6.8 - This program will
automatically bring together all the
files you need to unlock and root your
device in a few clicks, or flash it back to
stock and re-lock it. You can also use
this program to backup/restore all your
important data, flash zips, set file
permissions, push and pull files, install
apps, generate logcats/bugreports,
and much more! With the included file
association options, you can perform
tasks like flashing zips, installing apps,
restoring android backup files, and
flashing/booting img files with just a
double click! The program includes a full
featured interface for automating tasks
in TWRP, enhanced restore features, an
in-built auto-updater/notification
system, 'any build' mode, logcat/
bugreport generation, advanced
restore features, and quick tools
utilities. All the latest Android builds
and Nexus devices are now officially
supported including the new Nexus 7 v2
(2013) variants, with full 4.3.0 support.
The program intelligently and
selectively downloads the files it needs
for your device and makes sure you are
using the latest files available. The
main changes in this release are
general code fixes and optimizations.
Check out the updated changelog for a
more comprehensive breakdown of the
feature set in this release.
~ my goal for this project is make the
entire process as smooth and simple as
possible ~

[GUIDE]Install Custom Kernel on Nexus 4

People often prefer using a Custom
Kernel rather than that already
delivered with the ROM. For the
available kernels, head over to Nexus 4
Original Development . Every
kernel is unique in its own terms, so
make a choice. If you’re not satisfied
with the combination, move on and try
some other kernel.

---------------------------------------------------

INSTRUCTIONS:-
1. Choose a custom Kernel and download
its flashable zip.
2. Connect your device to the PC via USB
data cable.
3. Transfer the Kernel flashable zip to the
device. Its is recommended to put the
file in the root of your device storage
for convenience.
4. Disconnect the device.
5. Power off. Press the Volume Down and
Power keys together to boot into the
Bootloader mode.
6. While on the Bootloader screen, use
the volume keys to highlight Recovery
mode and select it using the Power
button. Your device will then boot itself
into Recovery mode.

7.Flash using CWM
- Select " wipe cache partition"
- Tap on "advanced" and select " Wipe
Dalvik Cache "
- Tap on "install zip from sdcard" >
"choose zip from sdcard". Now browse
and select the kernel zip package that
you placed in your storage root during
step #3.
- Select " Yes " when prompted to start
the flashing process.
- Your Kernel will now flash to your OS
and replace your current kernel.
- When it has successfully flashed,
select " reboot system now".

8.Flash using TWRP
- Tap "Wipe " > "Advanced Wipe " and
tick " Dalvik Cache" & "Cache ".
- Slide the button at the end of the
screen to start the wiping process.
- Tap on "Install" > now browse and
select the kernel zip package that you
placed in your storage root during step
#3.
- Slide the button at the end of the
screen to start the flashing process.
- Your Kernel will now flash to your OS
and replace your current kernel.
- When it has successfully flashed, tap
to " Reboot " and select "System ".

You now have Custom Kernel installed
on your Nexus 4.

NOTE: Before choosing and flashing any
Custom Kernel, make sure its
compatible with your present Android
version.

I hope this guide has helped you. I
would be proud, if anyone has received
any kind of fruitful knowledge/guidance
from this.
In case you get stuck anywhere, feel
free to comment and ask. Or if I've
missed something or may if I am wrong
somewhere, please do let me know.

[MOD] [N4] BEATS+XLOUDER 4.3/4.2.2 [11/08/13] ☆ Alive! ☆ Louder ☆ for Nexus 4

What This Mod Does:
Nexus devices have pitifully low volume.
Previous fixes like the Volume+ app and
Franco's app only increased the volume
on music playback, or in the
headphones, but did nothing for in-call
volume or notifications.

This mod changes all that. It will
increase ALL volume, across the entire
phone: ringtone, music, notifications,
loudspeaker sound, ear speaker sound,
in-call volume, and headset.

----------------------------------------------------
Requirements:
✔ Rooted .
✔ Custom recovery like CWM or TWRP.
✔ Jellybean Deodexed OR Odexed.
✔ Custom kernel with high quality audio
tweak enabled is recommended (e.g.
Franco or Trinity or AK).
✔ Nandroid Backup, I implore people to
have at least one recent one as this
method is faster.

-----------------------------------------
Compatible With :
✔ Universal for all kernels and ROMs.
✔ All major players, including: Google
Music, Noozy, PowerAMP (see note
below), Apollo, PlayerPRO.
Note on PowerAMP - To allow
PowerAMP to be controlled by
external DSP/EQ you must disable
Direct Volume Control under Audio
Tweaks in Settings.

------------------------------------------

Installation:
*Revert previously installed patch as
necessary.
1. Copy zip to Internal Storage
2. Boot to custom recovery
3. Install zip from sdcard
4. Reboot
5. Choose EIZO ReWire PRO under
Settings > Sound > Music Effects

Note: If you do not have the "Music
Effects" submenu then EIZO should be
enabled by default since it's the only
DSP present.

-----------------------------------------------------

                                  FAQ:

>What you should do:
✔ Configure EIZO, Select it in Music
Effects.
✔ Refer to the Op for EIZO settings.
✔ Practice tuning your own values. EVERY
user has their own listening experience.
✔ What sounds good to one and not the
other doesn't become the fault of the
MOD.
✔ Keep backups of your Alsa Mixer if you
use call recording BEFORE flashing this
MOD
✔ Keep backups (The revert is safe) but I
am not responsible for loops if you
flash this on another device.
✔ Flash the MOD after every ROM flash.
Not necessarily kernel flash.
✔ Search if your ROM has been
mentioned. KEYWORDS are a must.
Example is 'PA works' and the results
will be displayed. If not feel free to ask
and I shall assist you.

>What you shouldn't do:
✔ Test the loudness via Settings. There is
an implemented system limiter so you
can't tell the difference. Call yourself or
sms yourself so you can know the
difference.
✔ Complain of distortion without testing
your own values. I've set a recommend
layout in the OP hoping it's to give you
an idea.
✔ Error 7, Error 7 is a halt procedure.
Please debug the error and see what's
written before saying Error 7 only.
✔ Alternate flashing. (I know some of you
prefer to flash the Gnexus mod on the
N7 but doing so breaks the media
codes, if you have the patience to swap
the media codes in etc folder of the N7
then it's fine)
✔ Don't use Noozy lockscreen controls,
they're unreliable till a new app is
remade.
✔ Don't use compression in EIZO. Causes
massive volume fluctuations as it was
set to be an AVLS.
✔ Please refrain from asking about
PowerAMP as it denies the use of third
party DSP's which make PlayerPro a
better alternative.

Missing :
- Since ROM's are still experimental,
therefore these builds are considered
experimental until proven stable.

Bugs:
- Raising the volume in-app (noozy)
won't increase past 10/15, you need to
tab out, raise the volume and accept to
bypass the safety limit
- Bass needs retuning and so do some
volume levels
- New codecs were added in 4.3, they
need to be affected aswell and added
to media_codecs.xml aswell as
audio_config, atm they are't tuned
- Revert causes no audio, can be fixed
by flashing your ROM again.
- Not compatible with PowerAMP
